It’s hard to think of a more perfect location for a weekend cycling getaway than Goderich, in Huron County. Imagine riding quiet gravel roads in Amish country, stopping for a treat at the brand-new bakery in the village of Blyth, following the western stretch of Guelph-to-Goderich Trail for a visit to the shores of Lake Huron and filling your face with legendary cream puffs in the town square - all in one weekend. Now, imagine that all in ONE RIDE!
This Thanksgiving social getaway offers the most diverse collection of scenery and attractions on our menu - for cyclists and non-cyclists alike. Beaches, rivers, forests, farmland... at every turn is a new sight to see, a new path to pursue, and another taste to experience.
After a spirited day on your bike, hop in your car to hunt down local breads, cheeses and brews. Or simply indulge in a spa treatment and decadent meal at the renowned Benmiller Inn & Spa, before tucking into bed for a well-earned sleep.

Please Note: All rooms at the Benmiller feature just one bed - making it best for singles, couples or very close friends!
Where you'll stay
Situated on 25 scenic acres along the picturesque Sharpe’s Creek and Maitland River, the Benmiller is a go-to destination for relaxing and recharging.
This country retreat sits only a few kilometres from the quaint town of Goderich and the sandy beaches of Lake Huron and some of the best gravel and rail trails in Ontario. It’s a perfect destination for those looking for diversions once the ride is over - or for non-cycling companions.
Accommodation is spread out between five historic buildings - a combination of mill buildings and the homes of their owners and workers. Gravelocity’s guests will stay in the Woollen Mill - once used to manufacture wool blankets in the early 1900’s.

For Non-Cyclists
Not riding? No problem. Relax with a book alongside a waterfall, or a trickling stream - only steps from your room. Book into the spa for a whole menu of pampering. Hop in the car for a short drive to Goderich. Visit the historic steel-and-wood Menesetung railway bridge, then hit Courthouse Square for great coffee, homemade ice cream and legendary cream puffs. Want more? Head north to Kincardine or south to Bayfield. You’ll find roadside farm stands with the freshest produce along the way, and pretty main streets for shopping and strolling.
Please Note: Gravelocity’s tours run rain or shine. That said, we reserve the right to alter routes, distances or start times to avoid the worst of what Mother Nature (or the local gravel graders) may throw at us. On the rare occasion that a day’s bike ride is cancelled altogether, we’ll welcome you back on any other day - at any location - to make up for it.
