If you like a ride with variety, you’re going to love Fergus-Elora. Rail trail, single-track, double-track, and plenty of gravel are all in play on just every one of our carefully curated routes around here. We’ll escape and explore, riding 65-85 km per day at an average speed of 20-24 km/h. After the ride, enjoy quaint British pub-style accommodation at the tiny Breadalbane Inn.

Description
Elora-Fergus is a little more than an hour’s drive from Toronto, but cycling here is like entering a completely different world. A single ride can pass through farmland, marshes, forests and riversides, rolling over every surface your gravel bike was made for. There are five different rail trails within easy reach.
Longer rides will see us loop around the Luther Marsh before stopping at a hidden farmhouse bakery for apple cake and other treats. Shorter rides will take us down to Rockwood for coffee and sweets on the banks of the Eramosa River. Or maybe we’ll bicycle something in between - with gravel, rail trails, forest and a covered bridge en route to Elmira.
After the ride, stroll the quaint shops and cafes of the twin towns - or float down the nearby gorge in an innertube. Then, relax with a beer and dinner on the patio at the Breadalbane Inn, before retiring to your room.
Where you'll be staying
A stay at the Breadalbane Inn is about the closest thing you’ll find to British pub-style accommodation in Canada. With only 11 guest suites, Gravelocity’s guests will pretty much take over the whole place on any visit. The Inn itself is one of the finest examples of Scottish architecture in the area, featuring two award-winning restaurants, a charming patio that looks out onto the main street of Fergus, and a lovely solarium where you’ll enjoy breakfast while looking out at the surrounding garden.
The guest suites are divided between two buildings, with seven located one flight up from the restaurants and four suites in the coach house just steps across the parking lot. No two suites are alike. Each offers its own character and most feature exposed brick.
Please Note: All rooms at the Breadalbane feature just one bed - making it best for singles, couples or very close friends!
